4. INNOVATIONS IN HOME TEXTILES
4.1 Teijin Frontier’s Polyester Towel-like Fabric
Teijin Frontier’s response was to innovate a new type of polyester fabric with a pile structure similar to that of toweling.
The company combined technologies from its popular DELTAPEAK, a highly balanced material that incorporates unique yarn texturizing, knitting and dyeing techniques, and newly developed textile technologies based on a new false-twist yarn. Made of 100% polyester, the material offers excellent water absorbency, a soft texture, and a unique bulky-but-lightweight feeling.
4.2 Solution-Dyed Fiber for UV Protection
Solution-dyed (or pigment-dyed) acrylic and polyester fibers are the ideal fabrics for UV resistance to sunlight. These fabrics are produced using fibers that are put through a special wet-spinning process in which the color pigment is injected into the structure of the fiber itself during the fiber production.
Once the fiber is twisted into a yarn and then woven into a fabric, the color is permanent for the life of the fabric and does not fade when exposed to UV rays. Therefore, these fabrics are ideally suited for use in outdoor furniture.
4.3 Jacquard Airbrush Colors
These deep, brilliant colors airbrush like a dream on any surface including fabric, leather (including shoes!), wood, plastic, and metal. Jacquard colors are bright, clear, inter-mixable, and acid-free. Once dry and properly heat set on fabric, Jacquard Airbrush paint is permanent.

Magnetic curtains are created by modern interior designers. It can take any shape or form and stay the way one wants. This is because it has innumerable small magnets on its surface. The magnets are integrated is such a way that it can stay in the shape; one push or pulls.
Since it can take any shape; it is very flexible and adjustable. They are durable and do not particularly need maintenance. And the best part is, it goes well with modern as well as traditional home decor.
4.6 Seismic Wallpaper
Developed by the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), this product is made from strong and stiff glass fibers, interwoven to create durable, elastic panels. The fibers crisscross in various directions, so they are both strong and pliable, allowing coverage to distribute energy evenly when the walls shake during an earthquake.
Standard wallpaper is not enough to keep walls standing in the event of seismic activity. The fabric was tested in a model home in an earthquake simulator, where the seismic wallpaper allowed the building to remain standing with little damage.

Mirzapur and Badhohi: Mirzapur and Badhohi are small cities located in Uttar Pradesh, which are major centers for the production of floor coverings and carpets. The collective turnover of the two cities is around Rs. 2000 crore.
Jaipur: Jaipur is a well-known tourist destination, visited by a number of foreign tourists. This has helped largely in the development of Jaipur as a home textile production and export center.

Again according to production area in India, a rural region is a big option for investment, which will provide raw material to the company in cities creating employment. If we invest more we can develop our home textile sector.
